1. Who we are and scope
LLM Sleuth is a service owned and operated by Bold Slate LLC (“Bold Slate,” “LLM Sleuth,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you visit llmsleuth.com, create an account, run searches, use our API, contact support, purchase a subscription, or otherwise use the LLM Sleuth service.
By using LLM Sleuth, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy. If you use the service for a company, agency, client, or other organization, you are responsible for ensuring you have authority and an appropriate legal basis to provide information to us.
2. Information we collect
We collect account information such as your email address, authentication identifiers, plan, credit balance, subscription status, and account activity.
When you use the product, we collect the questions and prompts you submit, selected models and providers, generated searches, AI responses, cited URLs, extracted source information, saved executions, exports, API requests, and related usage records.
We collect support messages and any information you choose to provide through our support chat. We also collect technical and usage information such as IP address, browser and device information, pages viewed, referral information, timestamps, cookies, analytics events, error logs, and security logs.
When you purchase a plan, Stripe processes your payment information. We receive billing-related records such as customer and subscription identifiers, plan, payment status, and transaction details, but we do not store full payment card numbers on our own servers.
3. Searches, AI providers, and source extraction
To provide a comparison, your query and related instructions may be transmitted to the AI providers you select, which may include OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and Perplexity. Those providers return searches, answers, citations, or related data under their own terms and privacy practices.
LLM Sleuth may retrieve publicly accessible cited webpages and process page titles, descriptions, headings, FAQ schema, word counts, status codes, and other source evidence. Search executions and results may be stored in your history so you can revisit and export them.
Do not submit passwords, payment card numbers, government identifiers, protected health information, children’s data, trade secrets, or other highly sensitive or regulated information. If you submit information about another person or organization, you are responsible for having the rights, notices, consents, and legal basis required to do so.
4. How we use information
We use information to provide and operate LLM Sleuth, authenticate users, run model comparisons, capture searches and sources, save history, generate exports, administer credits and subscriptions, process payments, provide support, maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, troubleshoot errors, measure product performance, improve the service, and comply with legal obligations.
Where privacy law requires a legal basis, we generally process information to perform our contract with you, pursue legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, comply with legal obligations, or act with your consent.
We do not sell your prompts or saved results. We do not operate our own foundation model or use private search content to train one. Third-party AI providers and other service providers may process submitted information according to their agreements, settings, and privacy practices.
7. Retention and security
We retain account information, saved executions, results, and support history while your account is active and for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain business records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, and comply with legal, tax, accounting, or security obligations.
Billing records and security logs may be kept longer where required or reasonably necessary. Deleted information may remain temporarily in backups, logs, archives, or vendor systems before being overwritten or removed through ordinary retention cycles.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No internet service, AI provider, database, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, portability, deletion, restriction, or objection relating to personal information, or to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may also have rights concerning the sale or sharing of personal information and a right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising a privacy right.
Submit a privacy request through the support chat available on llmsleuth.com. Tell us that the message is a privacy request and identify the account involved. We may ask you to verify your identity and may retain or deny access to information when permitted or required by law.
9. International users
LLM Sleuth is operated from the United States. Information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. Those locations may have data protection laws different from those in your jurisdiction.
10. Children’s privacy
LLM Sleuth is intended only for people who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided information to us, contact us through support chat.
11. Changes and contact
We may update this Privacy Policy as our service, vendors, or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy and update the “Last updated” date. Where required, we may provide additional notice.
